This range of cast-iron dishes is made by French manufacturer Chasseur.
The Chasseur products are made of enamelled cast-iron. The range of cast-iron dishes is ideal for oven to buffet, serving individual or multiple portions. They can also be used for gratinating. Dishes are available in different shapes: round, oval, rectangular (standard, mini and a gratin version) as well as a specialised dish for eggs.
Natural properties of cast-iron
Thanks to the natural heat-retention properties of cast-iron, the range of dishes distributes heat evenly, for slow cooking and saving energy.
Cast-iron is also known for its strength making it resistant to high temperatures and thermal shocks and therefore very durable.
During the manufacturing process, the Chasseur cast-iron cookware undergo 3 external enamelling application and 2 internal applications to protect the cast-iron and make it particularly health friendly.
Enamel coating provides a non-stick surface that makes cooking easy without food sticking.
It is compatible with all types of heat sources, including Induction.
Variety of sizes and colours
Chefs will appreciate the choice of sizes and colours available in the Chasseur range.
All these dishes are available in black (with black interior) and red (with sand colour interior), except for the mini dish only available in black.
Round dishes are available in three sizes: 15cm, 18cm and 22cm
The oval dishes exist in two sizes: 20cm and 27.5cm.
The egg dish exists in one size: 16cm.
Two gratin dish sizes are available: 29cm and 36.5cm.
The standard rectangular dish exists in three sizes: 22.5 cm, 28cm and 33.5cm.
The mini dish exists in one size: 18.5 cm.
